麝香貓Luwak的性器官附近有一個性腺體，分泌乳白色麝香油脂，麝香油脂提供了麝香貓咖啡 Kopi Luwak獨特誘人的香味，也是高級香水的珍貴原材料。

清潔：收到Luwak咖啡農民的咖啡豆後，打散豆條取出咖啡豆。
篩選：小砂石或不完整變壞等咖啡豆逐粒篩選
清洗：將生咖啡豆清洗乾淨，並立即放於流動乾燥暖空氣下的黑暗地方風乾。
烘焙：這是最影響咖啡豆質量的部份，環球咖啡的麝香貓咖啡豆採用傳統均衡的中度烘焙(City Roast)，是咖啡豆剛好釋出咖啡油和焦糖的均衡烘焙度。

Kopi Luwak is made from the bean of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet, then passed through its digestive track and the beans are defecated. After a process of cleansing, sun drying, roasting and brewing, these beans yield a cup of kopi luwak is thick and heavy with a strong chocolaty taste. Also, the sweet aftertast stays in your mouth that makes you want to have one more sip of coffee.

Nowadays, Kopi Luwak can be divided into two categories, one is "Natural Wild" and the other is "artificial feeding". Since the wild civets choose their food very carefully, the coffee berries they've chosen are the best quality based on the maturity, aroma and sweetness. Now, the coffee farmers appreciate the behaviors of the Asian Palm Civets, otherwise they cannet earn a lot.

As the production of Natural Wild Kopi Luwak is very limited, this explains why the Natural Wild Kopi Luwak is more expensive than the artifical feeding one.
